Two of country music's finest are stepping up to the plate to host the three-hour TV special featuring performances and highlights from the upcoming 2017 CMA Music Festival.
Now two-time host Thomas Rhett and country-pop sensation Kelsea Ballerini are taking over the television event and things are sure going to be interesting with these two running the show. “She is so chill and so relaxed and so easy. Kelsea is not a diva at all," Rhett — who co-hosted 2016's CMA Fest TV special with pal Brett Eldredge — tells People of Ballerini. Ballerini adds that she believes they'll make good co-hosts because they “can laugh at themselves."
Being a host for this year's CMA Music Festival TV Special is definitely a “full-circle" moment for the “Yeah Boy" singer, who just ten years ago was attending the festival with her mom as an excited fan. “Me and my mom and a couple of friends would save up and plan for CMA Fest all year. We had schedules — we had fanny packs! We were very serious," Ballerini says. “My first time was when I was 13, and I have pictures of me buddying up next to Lady A, sweating because I was so nervous to meet them."

Rhett and Ballerini already have plenty of experience working together since she was just on his Home Team Tour and expect their great chemistry to be a key component to the night's success.
The three-hour television special will feature highlights from the four-day Music City festival which takes place June 8-11 and will air later this summer on ABC.
