It's been nine years since Darius Rucker first visited St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and felt the initial calling to help however he could. The kind-hearted and giving singer has used his music to make an impact by hosting an annual “Darius and Friends" benefit concert each year in Music City. Earlier today (April 10), Rucker announced the date for the eighth annual event sponsored by State Water Heaters leading up to Nashville’s 2017 CMA Music Festival. Mark your calendars, this year's benefit is set to be bigger than ever and will take place Monday, June 5 at the historic Ryman Auditorium for the first time ever.

In a press release, Rucker shares his excitement saying, “This concert is a real highlight for me every year. And I couldn't do it without the support of my friends who turn out to perform, tell stories and make this a memorable night for the fans, who are here from around the world."

“Darius and Friends" has become a real staple during CMA Fest each year, a tradition the fans have embraced and continue to sell out time and time again. After all, what's better than live country music while raising money for a terrific cause? To date, Rucker and special guesting including Luke Bryan, Radney Foster, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Charles Kelley (Lady Antebellum), Kenny Rogers and more have raised $800,000+ for St. Jude and their fight to end childhood cancer. This year's lineup is coming together and should be announced in the weeks ahead.

Tickets to “Darius and Friends" go on sale Friday, April 14 at 10am CT via ticketmaster.com.
