Dierks Bentley To Produce New Series On Fox Network
Reported by Variety, Bentley has signed on to produce an upcoming comedy for Fox that will be set in a bar in Nashville!
Like many of our beloved country stars, Dierks Bentley is a multifaceted artist that is adding some new creative credits to his resume. Reported by Variety, Bentley has signed on to produce an upcoming comedy for Fox that will be set in a bar in Nashville.
The country star will serve as an executive producer of a new single-camera comedy series from writer and executive producer Jack Burditt, the creator of Last Man Standing with other television credits such as Modern Family, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and The Mindy Project. Mary Hilliard Harrington from Red Light Management will serve as another executive producer alongside Bentley. According to Variety, the untitled series is set in a Nashville bar, where singers and songwriters go to chase their dreams, or maybe just to fall in love if only for a night.
As a Nashville Bar owner himself, Bentley will have the perfect perspective to add to the upcoming series: the country star owns a chain of bars called Whiskey Row.
Bentley has been a road warrior this past year as he toured with Brothers Osborne in support of his latest album, The Mountain. He recently wrapped his Mountain High Tour by gifting openers Brothers Osborne, Lanco and DJ Aydam with their own Sea-Doos.
The country star is nominated for Album of the Year at the upcoming 2018 CMA Awards, and he also scored a nod for Male Vocalist of the Year.
