Maddie & Tae’s Revealing New Single ‘Die From a Broken Heart’
Listen to the emotionally driven new single by Maddie & Tae from their upcoming sophomore album!
You can never be too old to call your mother for advice. And that is exactly the concept behind Maddie & Tae’s latest reflection, “Die From a Broken Heart.” The slow and emotional ballad is based on the story of a young woman going through a break up who calls her mother for advice. From simple things like how to remove a red wine stain out of a dress or the mascara out of a pillowcase they move into a more in depth chorus which truly expresses the feeling of heart break.
“How does he sleep at night/ Momma the nerve of this guy/ To leave me, so easy/ Am I gonna be alright?”
Following the release of their latest single “Friends Don’t,” the duo, who worked alongside Jonathan Singleton and Deric Ruttan this time, have introduced fans to the second single of their upcoming sophomore album. “We created a concept record that follows the ups and downs of a relationship” the duo share in a statement. “You’ve heard the in love phase with ‘Friends Don’t’ and now you hear the heartbreak in ‘Die from a Broken Heart.’ This song definitely hits home for us and we hope our fans relate to it as well.”
While it has been a rough couple of years for the two; their label, Dot Records, shut down in 2017 right after they finished writing songs for their sophomore album, the two are now signed to Universal music Nashville and back to take the world by storm with their latest album. While it does not have a release date yet, “Friend’s Don’t” and “Die From a Broken Heart” will give you an idea of how amazing the album will be!
So, before you make your way to listen to this amazing single, make sure you have some tissues at hand!
