Miranda Lambert is the newest artist-in-residence and is set to perform two shows in September!

Country superstar Miranda Lambert, known for her hit songs “The House That Built Me,” “Tin Man” and “Mama’s Broken Heart,” is the most awarded artist in the history of The Academy Of Country Music and was most recently named the artist-in-residence for The Country Music Hall Of Fame!

Every year, one artist is chosen as the artist-in-residence and according to the Country Music Hall Of Fame, “Every artist-in-residence has a strong connection to country music or has a sense of country music’s contribution to American culture.” The artist-in-residence series began in 2003 and has featured superstars such as Kenny Rogers, Jason Isbell and many more!

Lambert is now the 15th artist-in-residence and is set to perform two shows in the museum’s CMA Theatre. Lambert stated, “The history that the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum holds is so important…It’s truly an honor to be named artist-in-residence for the museum. I’m thankful for this place, where our music can continue to be cherished, and I’m thrilled to be among the esteemed artists who have been honored by this designation.”

The country star is an acclaimed artist who has been named CMA’s top female vocalist of the year seven times, so it is no surprise that she received this latest honor. Lambert is currently on tour with Little Big Town and will wrap up late August, giving her just enough time to go home and rest before hitting the CMA Theatre stage. As the artists-in-residence, the singer will perform two shows on September 19 and September 26 at 8 PM.

We know fans will be dying to see these shows live, so make sure to get your tickets as soon as possible! Tickets will go on sale Friday, July 10, at countrymusichalloffame.org and will range from $59.50- $150.
