Harry Styles and Kacey Musgraves team up for beautiful rendition of a Shania Twain hit!

Friday, June 22, pop sensation Harry Styles and country star Kacey Musgraves performed together at New York’s Madison Square Garden as part of Style’s current world tour. Musgraves is opening for Styles and the two have proved to be a dynamic team!

The two artists took on the challenge of performing a cover of Shania Twain’s hit song “You’re Still The One.” Both Musgraves and Styles have publicly admitted to being long time fans of Twain, so the cover was  a no brainer for the duo to tackle. In November 2017, Styles stated, “I think both my music and fashion main influence was probably Shania Twain… I think she’s amazing.“ Musgraves also recently stated, “Growing up in East Texas, some of my other all-time favorites were Shania Twain, Lee Ann Womack, and Jo Dee Messina – women who nailed that late 90’s/early 2000’s pop-country sound and giantly helped shape my musical sensibilities.”

During the friday night performance, Styles surprised the crowd by inviting Musgraves back onto the stage to give their rendition of the iconic pop country song. Fans immediately rejoiced as Musgraves sung the opening verse, showcasing her delicate vocals, while the duo triumphantly came together for the chorus. The pair nailed the difficult harmonies and their sultry indie sounds melded perfectly together. After the chorus, Styles took over and sang the second verse, all the while playing along on his guitar and displaying his own  instrumental and vocal abilities.

The duo rocked the cover and definitely lived up to what we think would be Shania’s standards!
