Jason Aldean Is Placing His Footprint On Downtown Nashville
Jason Aldean is joining the ranks of Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line, Alan Jackson and more, opening his very own bar and restaurant on Broadway in Nashville. Jason Aldean's Kitchen + Rooftop Bar will officially be the largest space in downtown Nashville.
Aldean has had an affinity for honky-tonks and Nashville bars for as long as he can remember. In fact, he tells CMT that he played these voluntarily for years, “I had already done the club scene in Georgia and Florida, and by the time I moved to Nashville I had a publishing deal. So I didn't really have to do a lot of that stuff down there. I did it because I wanted to."

It's a good thing that he did. After being dropped from a couple record labels, Aldean was discovered at the Wildhorse Saloon, right in the very area he's now making his own Nashville footprint. Benny Brown and Jon Loba from Broken Bow Records went downtown to see him perform. Loba remembers the initial conversation, “Benny said, 'I don't want to go where those (music) industry [expletive] are. I want to go where the fans are." Sure enough, Aldean walked away from that night with a record deal.
Aldean sees his bar as being an addition to the ever-changing Broadway strip. He explains that back when he was playing the honky tonks, “it was cheap little souvenir shops and cowboy hats and shot glasses, and now you go down there, and it's legit. Everything down there is cool, and there's more stuff going in every day."
Fans can expect to see Aldean at the bar, “Nashville is thriving right now, and it's just a good time to be in Nashville, a good time for businesses like that, and having a place for people to go and have fun. If there's one thing I like to do other than music, it is to have fun. So, if nothing else, I've got a cool place to go if I want to go downtown."
The bar will be located at 305-311 Broadway Avenue. While there's no official opening date for the bar yet, we cannot wait to see the magic Aldean is working up with the TC Restaurant Group (the masterminds behind FGL House). It's rumored that there will be a mechanical bull, so it's bound to be a good time.
