After a post-album-cycle and injury-related hiatus, Carrie Underwood is returning in full force this week. After teasing studio time and band rehearsals last week, Underwood will drop her single on Wednesday morning at 6AM ET. She will then take to the ACM Awards stage live on Sunday to perform the song on television for the first time.
While the single title is yet to be revealed, Underwood posted an Instagram teasing the song with tears of glitter surrounding her eye. Presumably, this will be the first single off of a new album for Underwood, the follow-up to 2015′s Storyteller. We cannot wait to see what Underwood has in store for the track.
The ACM revealed this morning that the 13-time ACM award-winner would perform the song for the first time LIVE on their stage this Sunday, April 15. Underwood could walk home as a 15-time award winner, as she's nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year with Keith Urban for “The Fighter."
We are counting down the days until we get to hear Underwood's new song live for the first time. Remember to tune-in to the ACM Awards this Sunday, April 15, at 8/7c on CBS to see Reba host the 53rd Annual ACM Awards. It's bound to be a great night of performances and country music.
