The Grammy-nominated Tori Kelly joined up-and-coming country singer-songwriter Chris Lane for a live duet of his single “Take Back Home Girl" on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Monday night (April 2). The song, featuring Kelly, is the latest single off of his most recent EP, Take Back Home, released last November.
The duo delivered powerful vocals during their performance which also included support from a live band. Lane opened up the performance himself, with Kelly nowhere to be seen at first, only heard. After the first few verses, Kelly joins the country artist on stage from her place near the audience. Now facing each other, the two artists sang the lyrics “I wanna drive real slow, down a no lane road / To a house on a hill where the wild things grow“ together for a romantic performance.
With Lane's country background and Kelly's more R&B/pop style of music, the collaboration between the two artists became an instant hit, landing the single on the Billboard Country chart.

The rising star has seen success opening up for several acts in the past, including The Band Perry, Eli Young Band, Lee Brice, Chris Young and Brantley Gilbert. Most recently, Lane supported Florida Georgia Line during their Smooth Stadium Tour with tour mates Nelly and the Backstreet Boys, as well as nominated for Best New Country Artist at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and New Male Vocalist of the Year at the ACM Awards in 2017.
Chris Lane will be performing at several music festivals throughout the year, including Watershed in Washington.
