It's official! Maren Morris and fiancé Ryan Hurd have just tied the knot this Saturday (March 24) and are now married! The happy couple had the spring wedding of their dreams, complete with a boogie back down the aisle and Harry Potter-themed wedding favors! The two got hitched at the Cordelle, a venue located in downtown Nashville.
Morris posted a touching moment from her wedding on Instagram, appropriately captioned “My last turn home.", referencing a song the couple co-wrote together for Tim McGraw.
Hubby Ryan Hurd also uploaded a photo of the newly wed couple sharing a kiss in black-and-white.
For her wedding, “The Middle" singer wore a custom-made dress inspired by her mother's: short in the front with a long train in the back. “My mom had a really cool dress in the '80s… it was a short wedding dress. Her friend from hair school made it. I loved that she did that, because she couldn't really afford much and I just thought she looked so cool," she told Ty, Kelly & Chuck Mornings in a previous interview.
Hurd proposed to his now bride last July with a special custom engagement ring. “I know what she likes and I had somebody in Canada put it together," Hurd told ET. “The stone is from New York City, it's from an uncut diamond, and then the rest of it's cast just custom for her. I couldn't just buy something. I had to make it something that fit her."
Hurd's proposal came as a surprise to Morris, who admitted it was totally unexpected! "I really had no idea,“ Morris said in a CMT Hot 20 Countdown interview, "and I had sweats on and my glasses - did not look cute at all - so that's how I knew he was serious."
In addition to the custom ring, songwriter Hurd also wrote a song dedicated to his future wife called “Diamonds or Twine." Featuring lyrics such as “When I look at you now / I see all I ever wanted / You make me wanna hang around / And hold your hand when we're a hundred", it's obvious the two are made for each other!
We here at MegaCountry wish the happy couple the best! True love really does exist!
