Dierks Bentley Honored With First Star On Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital Walk Of Champions

This morning, March 15, Dierks Bentley was honored with the first ever star on the Monroe Carell Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt's brand new Walk of Champions, presented by Live Nation. Bentley was chosen for this honor due to his continuous dedication to the hospital and all of the patients & families. We had the privilege of attending the presentation of his star.

Bentley has been an avid supporter of Monroe Carell, and all Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals, since the beginning of his career. Over ten years, Bentley has raised over four-million dollars for CMN Hospitals at his annual “Miles & Music For Kids" all-star motorcycle ride and concert.

Bentley spends many days of the year at the bedsides of patients at Monroe Carell and in the hospital's Seacrest Studios. His passion and dedication for this cause runs deep throughout his veins.

When presenting the star, Brian O'Connell, Live Nation's President of Country Touring, spoke kind words about Bentley and his character. “Every single moment that I get to spend with Dierks Bentley is a better moment of my life," O'Connell said, “Dierks gives with no expectation of honor." Before granting Bentley with his star, O'Connell told him that “this is for every life that you have touched."

Bentley gave a speech before revealing the star. Humbled, he expressed, “Everyone who knows this place knows that I am not the star here: the patients, the doctors, the nurses… those are the stars."

There is no doubt that Dierks Bentley is the absolute perfect choice to receive the first ever star on the Walk of Champions.
