Ruby Stewart and Alyssa Bonagura might not be biological sisters, but The Sisterhood
duo have a musical bond as thick as blood.
Stewart is daughter of rock icon, Rod Stewart, and Bonagura's parents are Michael Bonagura
and Kathie Baillie of Baillie and the Boys. Both girls, heavily influenced by music from a young age, were beginning to pursue solo careers, when they met through friends. Their pair instantly bonded over their mutual love of folk goddess, Joni Mitchell, and
their similar experiences growing up surrounded by the music business.
The Sisterhood was created almost immediately after hitting it off, and the group has since written and recorded their first EP which features the song, “Tenderize My Heart." Listen to “Tenderize My Heart," which is the theme song for the E! television show, Stewarts and Hamiltons.
Having caught attention all over the globe, The Sisterhood has performed at Milan and
Miami fashion weeks, landed spots at one of Australia's largest country music festivals, opened for Gary Clark Jr., and took the opening slot on Rod Stewart's UK Stadium Tour.
The Sisterhood recently signed with Sony Music Nashville. Since then, they performed at the
Grand Ole Opry alongside Darius Rucker, Wynonna Judd, and Little Big Town. The group was also featured on CMT's “Listen Up: 18 for 2018" program, which spotlights country music's most promising newcomers.
The duo is also members of CMT's Next Women in Country Music Class of 2018: a campaign that brings awareness to inspiring, upcoming female vocalists in country music.

“We are creating solely
for ourselves. Writing lyrics that stemmed from our late night conversations over wine. We are discovering the world through each others eyes and still have so much more to find," Stewart explains.
