Last night's American Music Awards (AMAs) were full of dazzling performances and star-studded appearances, including some of country music's finest.
Keith Urban took home three AMAs, the biggest country music winner of the evening. The official Favorite Male Country Artist also won the award for Album of the Year for his 2016 release, Ripcord. “Blue Ain't Your Color" was named Favorite Country Song as well.
Carrie Underwood was crowned Favorite Female Country Artist. Underwood and Urban each proved themselves to be “The Fighter" for the title of Favorite Country Artist.
So amazing!!! Thank you, fans, for this! I so wanted to go to the #AMAs just in case because I know how hard you've been voting. I'm sorry I couldn't get up there and thank you all on stage…you guys are incredible and am so thankful for you! ❤️❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/tYt0NP6gZB— Carrie Underwood (@carrieunderwood)November 20, 2017
Little Big Town won the Favorite Country Duo or Group award following the massive success of The Breaker and songs like “Better Man," penned by Taylor Swift.
Florida Georgia Line joined Hailee Seinfeld, Alesso, and watt on the AMA stage for a dance-inducing rendition of “Let Me Go." All wearing white suits, the performance had the audience on their feet and people smiling on living room couches all around the world.
Some of our other favorite moments of the night included P!NK's acrobatic performance of “Beautiful Trauma," reminding us of her versatility in juxtaposition with her stripped-down CMA performance of “Barbies." Niall Horan, who is taking Maren Morris on the road with him next year, won New Artist of the Year and delivered a rock-inspired performance of “Slow Hands." We loved seeing these avid supporters of the country music community shine throughout the night.
