As usual, Taylor Swift is taking over the world and transcending genres. Her latest album Reputation features a track titled “New Year's Day" and has been released to country radio.
The touching song is a sentimental tune that is simply backed by piano and guitar and was written by Swift with Jack Antonoff. The pop sensation's signature songwriting and sweet vocals are put on full display during this simple love song. Swift performed “New Year's Day" on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon last-minute to show support for Fallon, who lost his mother recently.

Other tracks off of the singer's Reputation album include singles "Look What You Made Me Do" and its follow-up “…Ready For It?." While the majority of the album's songs are decidedly pop, “New Year's Day," the final track on Reputation, is reminiscent of her early days as a country artist. Swift has recently been in touch with her country roots, writing Little Big Town's hit “Better Man" and winning Song of the Year at the 2017 CMA Awards.
The pop singer will be hitting the road in 2018 in support of her latest album Reputation. International dates and opening acts are still to be announced.
