Country Stars React to Texas Church Mass Shooting

Over the weekend, senseless tragedy struck the Texas based Baptist church in Sutherland Springs. According to police, on Sunday, November 5, an armed gunman walked into the church wearing a bullet proof vest and began a shooting spree that claimed the lives of 26 people and injuring 20 or so more. While the event continues to be an ongoing investigation, country stars have taken to social media to share their grief and disbelief at such a horrific tragedy just weeks following the mass shooting at Route 91 in Las Vegas.

Texas native Miranda Lambert turned to Instagram on Monday morning, November 6, and shared her support for the small town, posting a photo of a steeple of a church with the words “Sutherland Springs, TX" written across it, accompanied by a simple caption, “Prayers for Texas."

Prayers for Texas. 💔
