Scheduled for November 12 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Country Rising is a benefit concert created to “support charitable initiatives to help victims of the September 2017 hurricanes – Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Jose and Maria,” according to a press release. The event will also support those victimized by the mass shooting in Las Vegas, on Sunday, October 1.
Country Rising Lineup And Event Information
Since the original musical event is sold out, the benefit's organizers announced Monday (October 23) Country Rising: Downtown Jam, a second event happening on the same night which will be held at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater and feature some of country’s newest bright stars. Hosted by SiriusXM’s Storme Warren, the new show will include performances from Jon Pardi, Eric Paslay, Chris Janson, Carly Pearce, Drake White, Lindsay Ell, Tucker Beathard, Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots and Bailey Bryan, with additional artists to be announced.
Country Rising's lineup will include Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Chris Stapleton, George Strait, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. The event will also be hosted by iHeartMedia radio personality and musician Bobby Bones. Tickets for Country Rising: Downtown Jam will go on sale Thursday, October 26 at 10 AM CST via Ticketmaster. Speaking of benefits involving country superstar Jason Aldean, the singer did a rendition of Tom Petty's hit “I Won't Back Down" which will now provide proceeds to those affected by the tragic events in Las Vegas. The song will help raise money for the victims of the mass shooting, and is currently available for purchase on iTunes as well as appearing on streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal. Jason’s rep explained that all proceeds from the song will benefit the Direct Impact Fund.
