Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley & More Drop New Music

Fridays always seem to be the days of big announcements and new music! While it may seem daunting to catch up on all the latest singles from your favorite artists, we rounded up some of the most noteworthy to ease some of the stress.

Country pop sensation Kelsea Ballerini has been sharing new music left and right to help promote her sophomore album Unapologetically, which comes out November 3. The latest single to drop from her upcoming album is “High School," a bittersweet reflection on growing up and outgrowing who you once were. "it's not necessarily about the boy that the song is referring to: it's about that moment when you realize you've outgrown your young self. You've changed, and you've evolved and you don't fit somewhere anymore,“ Ballerini told Time.

“High School" was composed in her hometown bedroom and was the country singer's way of seeing that she could still write on her own. "When you write a song by yourself, there's a different level of vulnerability that you can tap into…I started relying on other people's creativity so much that I stopped believing in myself enough to write a song by myself," said Ballerini.

Dierks Bentley has also been busy creating new music lately. His latest project is something he's also never done before, writing and recording a song for a major motion picture! The song, “Hold The Light," is a haunting rendition that features Bentley's distinct vocals, with the help of Bon Iver's S. Carey. The tune was co-written by Bentley, Carey, the film's composer Joe Trapanese and songwriter Jon Randall and will be featured in the film “Only The Brave." The film follows an elite crew of firemen, The Granite Mountain Hotshots, from Prescott, Arizona who battled a wildfire in Yarnell, Arizona in 2013, that claimed the lives of 19 of their members. The film stars Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, Jennifer Connelly, James Badge Dale, Andie MacDowell and Taylor Kitsch.

“This is at the top, if not the most meaningful experience I've ever been a part of," said Bentley. “It hits me harder than any other song I've had a chance to be a part of. Over the last couple years I've met and gotten to know Brendan, the sole survivor, and my mom has met with some of the guys' families, and it's still unfathomable to put yourself in any of their shoes. But, our goal was to create a message of hope and love. I'm honored to have been a part of it."

Willie Nelson recently announced his latest album, Willie Nelson And The Boys (Willie's Stash, Vol. 2), which will feature songs penned by Hank Williams and collaborations from his sons' Lukas and Micah Nelson. The trio shared two songs from the upcoming project, “Can I Sleep In Your Arms" which features Nelson and his sons discussing making music together, and an audio version of “Mind Your Own Business."

Willie Nelson And The Boys (Willie's Stash, Vol. 2) will be available October 20.

Finally, we got a pop and country duo that are reigning in the holiday spirit early. Blake Shelton will be featured on girlfriend Gwen Stefani's upcoming Christmas album, specifically on the records title track, “You Make It Feel Like Christmas." The sweet christmas themed love song has the duo trading lines during the song's verses and harmonizing on the chorus.

Make It Feel Like Christmas will be available on October 6.
