The conversation surrounding country music has been pretty split in recent years. Many critics of the genre have had a say in what is and what is not country music but not many artists have had much to say to that criticism.
Enter Luke Bryan who wrote an entire song to shut down the conversation. Bryan performed the unreleased song called “What Makes You Country" during a private pre-show VIP event before his Huntin', Fishin', and Lovin', Every Day Tour and he hit the nail right on the head.
Bryan opens the song with the lyric “People talking about what is and what ain't country," setting the stage for the rest of the song as moves into the lyrics “You could be a cowboy on the Texas plain, or a plowboy waiting on the rain, we're all a little different but we're all the same, everybody doing their own thang."
It's empowering for the artists and fans alike who agree, “we're all a little different but we're all the same," it helps that it's one hell of a catchy song, too! Now when can we get the studio version of this sure-to-be hit!
