Cyrus has taken after her father Billy-Ray recently, tapping into her country side and on this new project, if the title track is any indication, she's finding the sweet spot right in between pop and country. You can see and hear traces of influencers Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Porter Wagoner (and her father of course) in the production. From the vocals and music to her pompadour and custom-made nudie suits, nods to country hip-shakers of lore like Presley are sprinkled throughout.

Check out the thought-provoking video below:

The dreamy video kicks off with frogs croaking and gravel stirring, featuring a classic country guitar sweep in the background and sweet pop-style vocals into the mix. Together, the two create a sentimental sound that's longing of the past yet forward-looking at the same time.

But it doesn't just stop at the sound. The visuals also add to the hazy feeling even more, from the minute Cyrus wakes up in what is presumably her childhood bed to the moment that she dances the tune to a close in romper. The “Wrecking Ball" singer also weaves her way through an amusement park as she performs in elaborate costumes throughout the video, while bright-eyed young people and spritely older people dance in the background. For that reason, while the video brings several country icons to mind, it's most obviously an ode to “The King," who died 40 years ago Wednesday (August 16), and appealed to both young and old.
