Since Maren Morris has hit the country music scene, she has proved her impressive vocals and songwriting chops know no bounds. Morris has collaborated with fellow country singer Thomas Rhett on his single “Craving You" as well as pop/R&B artist Alicia Keys for a live performance of Morris' song “Once." Now, the “My Church" singer is teaming up with former One Direction member Niall Horan and the news couldn’t be anymore exciting!
Horan confirmed the collaboration during a recent press event held by Universal Music Group in Los Angeles, were he talked about the prospects of his forthcoming solo record. The pop star has released two singles so far, “This Town" and “Slow Hands," and is ready to branch out and showcase his musical diversity. The duo's duet, described by Variety, will be called “Seeing Blind," and will likely coincide with Horan's acoustic style while Morris takes lead on blending their different genres. Although Horan didn't reveal much on an upcoming release date, he's previously hinted his album will drop late fall.
To help confirm the news herself, Morris dropped hints on Twitter, linking back to Variety's article and adding a string of excited monkey face emojis.
While the two come from different genres, Horan has reached out to Morris previously via Twitter to praise her track, “I Could Use a Love Song," and we can only assume the mutual admiration grew from there.

Morris recently hinted she's working on her sophomore album and has been sharing pictures of the writers' nights she's been hosting with friends and other colleagues within country music.
