This past Friday, July 7, Florida Georgia Line played their first-ever sold-out stadium concert at the historic Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. Nelly, the Backstreet Boys, and breakout artist Chris Lane accompanied the duo in Boston.
“Four years ago, we played the House of Blues right across the street, took a tour of the stadium, and dreamed of one day playing here," Hubbard told the crowd. “Thank you Boston for making our dream come true with our very first sold out headline stadium show." Since that moment in 2013, FGL has scored 10 more number one country singles, including “May We All" and “H.O.L.Y." Clearly their fans agree that their hard work has paid off, selling out this unforgettable night in Boston.
The highlight of the show for many was when the Backstreet Boys joined T. Hubb and B.K. on stage to perform their number 1 single "God, Your Mama, And Me." Following the performance, the boys were surprised with a plaque to commemorate their incredible success on the #1 song.
The show wrapped with a star-studded encore. Nelly came on stage for his smash-hit “Hot in Herre." The crowd went crazy for the Backstreet Boys throwing it back with “Everybody (Backstreet's Back)." And for the finale, FGL and Nelly performed their record-breaking diamond-certified “Cruise" Remix. The performance was accompanied by breathtaking fireworks for the fans.
