Everyone loves a good wedding day surprise, even the fellas of Rascal Flatts. The trio pulled off an epic surprise for one happy couple last weekend.
Sara and Brandon made their grand entrance for the first time as husband and wife into Sugar Island Barn in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The barn, lit with twinkle lights and filled with rustic charm, was the perfect setting for a country wedding. As their friends and families cheered them on, the maid of honor states on the microphone, “I am not musically inclined at all so we needed a little extra help for this surprise for you guys, so I will hand it off to them..," as Gary, Joe Don and Jay sneak in and take the stage to sing the couples' wedding song, “Bless the Broken Road."
The timing couldn't have been better when a family friend and the bride's sister reached out to the band to help make their already memorable day even more special as the Flatts were already set to headline Country USA Music Festival in Oshkosh that same day.
In the car on the way to the venue, Gary expresses his sentiment for the special couple, "We get to play their first dance as husband and wife and that's just, I mean it's so special to be a part of that." The sheer surprise on the couple's faces as the band took the stage, with guitars in hand and ready to sing, was a priceless moment that will make their special day all the more unforgettable. The song, which the couple chose to dance to, is a popular choice for many couples getting married who have been through other relationships before finding their perfect match.
The band is currently on the road this summer and promoting their brand new album Back to Us. Check out their upcoming show dates below and for more information check out rascalflatts.com.
