RaeLynn has chosen her next single to send to country radio and we're loving her pick! “Lonely Call" will start spinning this Monday, June 26. The rising country singer takes into heavy consideration which song her fans wanted to pick as the follow up single to “Love Triangle" and ever since the release of her debut album Wildhorse, “Lonely Call" has been a standout on social media. The singer took to Instagram to share the news with her fans.
Co-written with Nicolle Gaylon and Rob Hawkins, the mid-tempo track is very relatable as she sings about making the decision to let an ex go to voicemail in the middle of the night:
“I used to be your 6 a.m 'Hey good morning beautiful, how you been?' / I used to be a 'We just landed miss you, you can't stand it / see you this weekend' / Now I'm just a midnight number / Familiar voice / When you start to wonder if you made the wrong choice / So let it ring, let it ring all night long / Cause I ain't your lonely call..."
Empowering women to not give in to a useless middle of the night call, RaeLynn knows her fan base well. “I knew the most important voice in this decision would be my fans," RaeLynn says. “I asked and 'Lonely Call' won hands down. My fans obviously know me well because this is the one I was hoping for too."
Wildhorse debuted at no. 1 back in March and had fans and critics alike gravitating towards the collection of songs that are honest and raw. Co-writing all but one song of the twelve song collection, Raelynn really tapped into her emotions over the past five years to create an album that her fans love and that she should be proud of.
She will perform “Lonely Call" for the first time tonight at the Grand Ole Opry, standing in the famed circle. She also has festival and concert dates booked for the entire summer. Check out the full list of dates here.
