Miranda Lambert Performs ‘Pink Sunglasses’ During CMT Awards

The CMT Music Awards was a night full of memorable performances, but none seemed to involve as much audience participation as Miranda Lambert's “Pink Sunglasses".

Featured off of her double album The Weight of These Wings, “Pink Sunglasses" is one of the few songs she did not personally pen and was written by Rodney Clawson, Luke Dick and Natalie Hemby. The flirty tune is an ode to “the power of plastic" and how empowering a pair of eyewear can make a person feel even on the most mundane of days. What made the performance even more enjoyable, however, was how many people in the audience decided to sport the pink shades. During the video, we see stars such as Jason Aldean, the guys of Florida Georgia Line, Darius Rucker and tons more happily watching Lambert's performance while wearing their own pink sunglasses.
