EARLY LIFE

Louisiana native Meghan Linsey began her aspirations of becoming a country music star at the young age of 14. Singer songwriter, Linsey got her start by forming her own band and taking frequent trips to Nashville to go to the legendary Bluebird Cafe. During her time in College at Belmont University, she became a regular at the cafe, played the early slots at the Bluebird, and then stayed to watch some of her idols play during the later time slots. While in Nashville, Linsey met her now ex-boyfriend Joshua Scott Jones and the two began writing, producing, and performing songs together under the band name Steel Magnolia.

MUSIC CAREER

Pretty soon after Linsey and Jones released their first few songs, Steel Magnolia caught the attention of the producers of CMT’s musical competition show Can you Duet. The two entered and won the competition, ultimately landing them a contract with Big Machine Records. The two gained major success together after their first single Keep on Loving You shot to #4 on the charts. Due to the success of their first single, Steel Magnolia opened for Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Bob Segar and Reba. When the couple split, both personally and professionally in 2013, Meghan decided to pursue a career as a solo artist. In addition to releasing new music, Linsey appeared on season 8 of The Voice and was crowned runner-up.While on the show, Meghan not only showcased her wide range and potential as a solo female voice,  but also showcased her songwriting abilities by performing one of her original songs during the season finale. Since the Voice, Linsey has continued to release new music, including her 2017 empowering album Bold Like a Lion and is currently on tour across the US.
