Extended Play (EP) (2016)
Hallelujah Nights (2018)
LANCO, short for Lancaster, formed after crossing paths in Nashville, Tennessee in 2013. Made up of frontman Brandon Lancaster, drummer Tripp Howell, guitarist Eric Steedly, keyboardist Jared Hampton and bassist Chandler Baldwin, the guys quickly bonded. The band’s intention was always to make music, but their strong friendship overshadowed the music early on. With Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia roots firmly planted between the guys, they molded their own sound by fusing classic rock and blues with modern country anthems. Still holding day jobs to make ends meet, Lancaster spotted producer Jay Joyce (Carrie Underwood, Eric Church) during a Keith Urban concert at Bridgestone Arena, where we worked a concession stand. Closing down his register, Lancaster approached Joyce and the two shared their enthusiasm for music before exchanging numbers. Weeks later, the two met up and Lancaster played him the band’s music. Liking what he heard, Joyce invited Lancaster to return with the rest of the band and after playing several songs live for Joyce, they signed a publishing deal with his company.
After signing with producer Jay Joyce’s publishing company, LANCO went to work on their debut EP, which was also produced by Joyce. In late 2015, LANCO signed with Sony Music Nashville imprint Arista Nashville and released their debut, Extended Play EP, on April 15, 2016. Fast forward to 2017 for the release of their brand new single “Greatest Love Story,” which also served as the theme for the popular Netflix series, The Ranch. The single eventually hit No. 1 on both Billboard’s Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts. “Greatest Love Story” appears on LANCO’s debut album Hallelujah Nights which hit No. 1 on the Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. Riding the wave of success, LANCO scored an opening slot on Dierks Bentley’s 2018 Mountain High Tour alongside Brothers Osborne.
