EARLY LIFE

From an early age, Gord Bamford’s love for music was evident. A young Bamford joined Rod Stewart on stage to sing “Rockabilly Rebel,” giving Bamford a taste of the performance rush. While most of his teenage years were spent paying sports, Bamford came back around to country music in 1994 when he won a local Search for the Stars radio contest that included a professional recording session at a recording studio, this was the time when Bamford knew he had to put sports in the backseat and direct his energy into country music.

MUSIC CAREER

Gord Bamford honed his musical talents and was ready to release his debut album, God’s Green Earth, in 2001. The title-track from the debut album was written by Nashville hit-maker Byron Hill, once Hill heard the finished version of the song, he knew he had to continue working with Bamford. Hill invited the Canadian crooner down to Nashville to discuss Bamford’s music and his future, marking the beginning of a successful working relationship. Hill would go on to produce Bamford’s next two albums, co-writing many of Bamford’s well-known hits.

Bamford’s continued journey shows no signs of slowing down, as the 24-time CCMA award winner who’s racked up 23 top ten singles in Canada recently signed a deal with the Invictus Entertainment Group in 2018.
