Glen Campbell was born in Billstown, Arkansas and grew up on his family farm. He was one of 12 siblings and they all grew up helping pick cotton on the farm. Glen began playing guitar when he was just four years old alongside his parents and siblings but clearly stood out for his talent. By the time Glen was 14, he dropped out of school to pursue a career in music. He began by playing with his uncle’s band The Sandia Mountain Boys, went on to form his own band, The Western Wranglers. He then relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his own career.

Glen Campbell passed away in 2017 of Alzheimers disease at the age of 81 and is regarded as one of the most acclaimed artists of the past century. Glen released albums nearly every year between 1962 and his passing in 2017. Campbell has won countless awards including 10 Grammy Awards, 10 Academy of Country Music Awards, and has had 26 top 10 hit songs on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. He is best known for his hit songs  “Rhinestone Cowboy,” “Galveston,” “I Wanna Live” and “By the Time I Get to Phoenix.” Campbell was an incredible artist and his legacy lives on today through his musically talented children.
